Three Month Warning: 3 Events to Get You Fit Before Summer Hits

So summer is due in just over three months, ladies. It's never too soon to start getting your body right in time for Essence Festival, sun dresses in Ft. Greene Park, and into your bridesmaids dresses for your sisterfriends' wedding. I simply want to save you all the grief and crash dieting tricks you're sure to enlist otherwise. Being the day and night socialite that I am, I've rounded up a few femme, fun, fitness events to get you motivated and whipped into shape as well as a 20 minute home workout circuit that I swear by. Let's work!

1.) Who: Urban Girl Squad & Athleta
What: A boot camp workout in Central Park and a fueling energy workshop. You''ll  do a 60-minute workout with other socialites, get expert fitness and nutrition advice from certified nutritionist- Jennifer Giamo, post workout refreshments, discount from JG fitness spring boot camps, and a chance to win an Athleta outfit and a personal workout with JG Fitness.
When: March 24, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM
Why: Ummm, you read the intro right? THREE. MONTHS. Can you say "bridesmaid dress", back fat", and "bikini"?
Where: Upper Westside 216 Columbus Ave.
How: Register here. Cost is $15

What: Dance & Sweat class. Dance nonstop, sweat, and have a blast with the Diva Dance instructors. You're sure to experience great choreography synced to the latest hip-hop and pop hits. This class is Day & Night Socialite approved!
When: Monday Nights in March from 7:00 to 8:00 PM
Why: It doesn't get an easier or fun than this.
Where: 890 Broadway at 19th Street, 5th Floor
How: Reserve a spot here. Cost is $18

3.) Run A 5K Before Memorial Day! This will get you motivated and have you well on your way to meeting your fitness goal for summer by starting your training now. Consider running with the New York Road Runners, Black Girls Run, or Urban Athletics.

If you're super lazy...I can't make it an easier than this here. Doing this workout for 20 minutes for 3-5 times a week will whip you right into shape targeting all important areas. Let's call it the Day & Night Socialite Circuit.

-Do 15 jump squats (with your hand behind your head) immediately followed by15 push ups (do girly ones if you have to). 
-Right after that grab a pair of 8-10 weights and do 15 shoulder presses. 
-Take a 1 minute break and follow up with 15 mountain climbers on the floor then quickly alternate into a plank to work your abs holding for 30 seconds. 
-Take a 1 minute break, drink water and repeat this 3 times for a total of 4 circuits.
